After a few years of pause, Roma Kizomba Festival returns in 2027.
The last great edition stopped at the doors of 2020, when the pandemic interrupted a journey that over the years had brought dancers, artists and enthusiasts from more than twenty countries to Rome.
But the world did not stand still.Kizomba did not stand still.
The music, the dance, the people, the communities and the new generations kept moving, meeting, transforming.
That is why we do not simply want to start again from where we left off. We want to continue from where we are today.
A bridge does not belong to two banks alone. A bridge is what allows people to meet.
That is why the symbol of the new edition is the bridge.
A bridge between
Everyone will be able to recognise something of their own in the bridge.
Because Kizomba itself has been, from the very beginning, encounter, journey, transformation and relationship.
Roma Kizomba Festival 2027 wants to represent the different souls of the Kizomba universe without setting them against each other.
Roots • Angola • Culture
Kizomba, Semba, Tarraxinha, Afro House, music, culture, history, social life and that Angolan way of living the dance that gave birth to this whole movement.
An important space will be dedicated to the artists, masters and protagonists who represent and pass on this heritage.
Kizomba Fusion • Urban • Evolution
Urban Kiz, fusions, musical cross-pollination and new languages born from the encounter of Kizomba with other cultures, other bodies and other generations.
Because guarding a root does not mean stopping the tree from growing.
Tradition and evolution do not have to fight each other. They can meet on the same bridge.
That is why RKF 2027 will progressively present two great artistic paths, each with its own protagonists and programme, united within the same experience.
It could only be Rome.
A city that for millennia has connected peoples, cultures, languages and different worlds.
Roma Kizomba Festival wants to be this again:

Those arriving from abroad will not only meet Kizomba. They will meet Rome.
Those arriving from other Italian regions will meet people, schools and communities from all over the country.
And what is born here will be able to travel again towards Europe and the world.
This will be our first great goal.
North, Centre, South and the Islands. Schools, masters, DJs, organisers, veteran dancers and new generations.
And from here, step by step, widening the bridge again.
Roma Kizomba Festival has always been more than a sequence of workshops and parties. Over the years we have also built training, culture, meetings, conferences, updates for teachers, presentations, dialogue and community.
The Bridge Edition starts again from this identity. Dance will remain the heart: the days will be made of classes, music, socials, parties, encounters and great collective moments.
But around the dance we will keep building occasions to learn, to meet, to talk, to grow and to create new relationships.
A festival can last a few days.A relationship can last many years.
